South Campus

Adult Hospital (Now Open!)

In 2018, Holly Hill’s South Campus opened the new adult hospital. The beautiful three-story building has 64 adult psychiatric beds and will soon have the only electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) program in Wake County.

Located on Michael J. Smith Lane, the facility expands our current young adult acute unit — the only unit for 18- to 26-year-old patients in North Carolina. The campus also features several outdoor walking trails and pleasant green space.

We aim to solidify our health care history and future as well as reduce the stigma associated with seeking treatment. With people at the center of everything we do, Holly Hill is proud to soon offer modernized ECT treatment that can change the lives of our patients and their families.

Children's Hospital

Holly Hill Hospital’s Children’s Campus offers excellent treatment programs that provide strong communication with families and support systems. These programs can help your child or adolescent get back on the best path to wellness. Our experienced staff serves our patients, their families and our communities by being a resource and support to them.

Our Children’s Campus is designed specifically for kids and adolescents. All patients 17 and under come to the Children’s Campus for assessment and admission. Here, the treatment is centered around the philosophy that the best behavioral healthcare is comfortable, nurturing and even a little fun.

Keeping in mind the age group we are treating, we provide plenty of outdoor play areas, including walking trails with exercise equipment, a basketball court and a playground for our youngest patients. Our staff utilizes these outdoor areas, along with indoor activity areas such as a game room and gym, to provide recreational therapy in a reward-based program. This treatment model, when coupled with traditional group therapy, can provide a strong foundation of coping skills to help children and adolescents make the best choices after their graduation from Holly Hill.
