Sam Pittman PhD, MEd, RN

Director of Partial Hospitalization Program

Sam Pittman came to Holly Hill Hospital in 2005 as the director of partial hospitalization program before moving into the director of contract and mobile services role and eventually becoming director of business development. Pittman has been serving the mental health field for several decades, and his roles have included intake counselor, director of admissions, consultant and PRN registered nurse.

Pittman holds a doctorate in counseling psychology from Carolina Christian University as well as an associate’s degree in nursing from Wilson Technical Community College. A man of many passions, he also earned a master’s in adult and community college education from North Carolina State University and a BA in music and education from Free Will Bible College. Married and also a proud grandfather, when he isn’t working, he enjoys making homemade jam and singing.
